Position: Lead Assistant                                     

Department: Preschool

Date Beginning: 2017-2018 school year

Hours: 12-5:30

Job Description – This person will be hired for an assistant as well as the lead for the afternoons.

Position Summary: The Lead assistant is responsible for the supervision of the children, afternoon activities, and guidance of the assistants for the afternoon hours, under the supervision of the Director. The lead assistant is responsible for providing educational activities where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual growth. This person is responsible for planning and implementing an instructional program for students in accordance with Grace Academy policies.

Qualifications:

·         Must be at least 25 years of age

  • Possess strong leadership qualities and skills with co-workers and students.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Works independently with little direct supervision
  • Works as part of a team and show leadership skills
  • 2 years’ experience in a licensed preschool/childcare or teaching experience required
  • Accepts responsibility of job and is self-motivated
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic to achieve desired goals
  • Displays effective multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Willingness to acquire CDL’s to drive a bus

 

 

Education and Experience:

         High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

        Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

         Completion of Early Childhood Credentials I & II- beneficial

             Early Childhood Associate Degree- beneficial

Position: Substitute to fill in for Teachers and/or Assistants when needed                                    

Department: Preschool-Elementary-After School Care

Date Beginning: 2017-2018 school year

Hours: As Needed

Job Description – This person will be hired to fill in or substitute as needed.

Position Summary: The perfect job if you are looking for something part time.This person will be hired as a fill in when full time staff is out. You will be responsible to carry out the job description of the person you are filling in for. This person is responsible for planning and implementing an instructional program for students in accordance with Grace Academy policies when filling in for a teacher. You will be expected to follow all guidelines and policies of Grace Academy.

·         Must be at least 25 years of age
